Today KR is joined by Jorge, a cofounding member of The Green Haven Project: a nonprofit garden in Florida focused on diminishing food deserts, educating the community on growing and harvesting, and producing fresh and local fruits and vegetables for free. 
In this episode we talk about how to recognize and then combat food deserts, how children in the community are involved in the garden, favorite foods growing in the garden, and real life stories of impact.

Kinda Radical is continuing the Mother's Day theme with Moms for Arizona! 
Today Dawn and I talk about why she started this social media account, what her goals are in Arizona democratic policy, and how people around the country can get involved. We discuss how important it is for parents to follow policies that can and DO affect their children, and how busy moms can stay involved in local politics - even if it's just a call to a representative between school and soccer practice.
